Pedemontata Veneta highway – After a construction site that lasted about 6 years, Pedemontana Veneta is finally a reality: with its 94.5 km, it connects 36 communities from the Treviso area to the Vicenza area, a need that had already emerged in the 70s with the growing industrial and social development and increased mobility.

This is an important goal that also looks at environmental sustainability, as it allows the decongestation of traffic on the busiest secondary roads, thus reducing emissions. Furthermore, the project was carried out with a view to reducing the landscape impact as much as possible.

At the end of last year, in the presence of the President of Veneto Luca Zaia and the Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini, the inauguration of the last stretch took place, which runs for 22.3 km between Malo and Montecchio Maggiore. The Malo (6.4 km) and S. Urbano (1.6 km) tunnels are part of this: right here, inside the cabins of the two tunnels, we have supplied our ISOLSBARRA, an electrical conductor for the transport of energy.

Isolsbarra was selected by virtue of its characteristics:

  • it is particularly suitable for installation in closed environments
  • it features an IP66 rating to resist dust and moisture
  • it owns a high short-circuit withstand (proven by specific tests carried out on the product)
  • its internal conductors are individually insulated to ensure greater safety
  • it handles high temperatures very well
  • it withstands flame and earthquake

The Pedemontana Veneta highway is a work that looks to the future and allows to connect a part of the Veneto that has remained more isolated until now.

We are proud to have contributed to the creation of this Infrastructure, which, as stated by Zaia, “reshapes the Veneto and the way of perceiving distances in our region”.
